with the chance to drop stuff/learn new stuff, i'm wondering what the following skills offer/will offer (or if they offer more than what i list).
Acrobatics: just to get back up instantly from knockdown/doing carthwheels, etc?
Persuasion: just for law and 'crats selling stuff?
Appraisal: critter app, item apps, gem crafting?
Athletics: just to advance/retreat/play football?
Aviation: dead skill, yes?
Research: anything at all? you need some amount of this + intel to scribe, but that's it right? i think you mentioned sigils will use this until sigil lore comes out.
Riding: dead?
Drawing: dead?
Driving: dead?
Electronics: medics need it for healing gear, techs for tech stuff, anything else?
Handle Animal: anything?
Intimidation: law and fear things?
Nautical: dead? does it help rowboating?
Painting: i <3 tattoos, but anything else upcoming? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Acrobatics and Athletics help with combat.
Persuasion with magic and performer stuff.
Intimidation with psionics.
Nautical with rowing.

Research determines how many studies of a particular tome, manual, or schematic you need before you complete it, and also determines the level of difficulty you actually *can* study.
At least, to those of us making gadgets or potions, I believe that's what it does. _________________ Why use logic when you can just...make stuff up? |

Research is also required for Medics to use certain things. _________________

Seems to be.
Psionics can triple train it, so I put it to 200, in the hopes it might boost Glim's Wards. It didn't.
