Do you think in the future we could sprinkle crushed emeralds/diamonds/rubies/onyx/turquoise stones, etc on our shaped clay before firing?
It would come out looking like this:
a poorly crafted bottle embedded with <insert jewel> dust.
Not sure if you want to be able glaze after that or perhaps add it to the clear glaze only?
Also, in the future could we dip some items in molten metals for coating?
Just a few ideas I had.

I am trying to catch up on the Artisan boards at the very least. I came across this post and I am wondering why no on replied. It seems like a fairly good idea here. Could we get input Valla? I know this wasn't your area at the time it was posted.

Pottery has not been changed (i.e. embedding items into pre-fired clay), but new glazes have been added that help the pottery piece appear as though they have been.
