Curiosity killed the eteoch. By skin I mean like a human skin, or something, not marked with a specific player's name. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I can't really form an opinion because I don't know what the usefulness of Jaddan hides or Eolai skins would be. ::Shrug::

I'm failing to see what the point would be. _________________ Dragoonseal |

If we were to implement skinning of players, I don't know if they would do anything at all. It's some level of a bragging right for competitive players I suppose. Personally, I don't have a strong opinion either way, but I am curious at to what our players think _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

One use would likely be bounty hunting, also for those with any sort of racial emnity it could be used for tanning. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

<g> sounds like a "no" vote. Out of curiosity, do you dislike the idea, or simply not see a point for doing it? _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Both, actually.
There are no positive aspects coming from it. _________________ Dragoonseal |

<g> No positive aspects would be ebatable I suppose, but I just wanted more insight into why you were against the idea since you made a few posts in addition to voting. Thanks _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I'm up for debate. My last post was going to be longer, with some explanation of why I feel as I do, but after mulling over it some I couldn't come up with any reason for it to even be a system worth bothering with, all the negative aspects of it aside. So I just summed it up with the short statement. _________________ Dragoonseal |

..In the case of this being used for Bounty Hunting, I don't really think taking the skin of the victim back to your superior would get the job done. If I was the Boss, I'd rather see something more easily distinguished as the mark's (not to mention something less disgusting.. gah), like an ear. I think there was some culture somewhere in the world a long time ago that would chop off the ears of their fallen enemies as proof of a victory or something.. and it was somewhat of a dishonor to the dead guy.
I know that ears can hardly be the one identifying factor for a person's identity, but they can always do a quick DNA test on it (well, I'm assuming that DNA analysis is a shitload faster here) to verify if it came from the Mercenary's mark or not. If it didn't, he'll be shunned away from any further contracts for awhile; if it did, he'll get his reward.

PS: I'd like to see someone wearing a Darju-Fur coat suddenly find himself in the midst of a group of Darju. _________________
