|
|
So I wake up this morning and my PC... my darling loving never failed me PC is dead. Moral of this story? All of my files are on it. I'm currently using my son's PC until I can get my new machine here but lots of important files (read: code) I was working on is on my old machine and I won't be able to access it for around a week. I'm not being lazy on you guys! Just wanted to give you all a heads up |

Excuses Excuses....
Nah. I believe you. That sucks. Will your new computer be any nicer than the one that just died? Then it might almost be a blessing in disguise... _________________ End of line.

The new one is much nicer than I need it for and makes my old one look like an atari. So yeah, I'm not too upset about it. I'm almost positive the motherboard is out and my hardrives are fine so I shouldn't lose anything. Its just not being able to get to them right now thats a pain. |

I read that thread title too quickly and thought you were taking a vacation from your flies. _________________ Mickey Brunner

The one thing I hate... it comes with Vista home premium. So I suppose I'll be cursing about that for years. |

You can, its just a really big pain in the butt. Firstly, you need to uninstall the wizard if you installed it. Completely wipe it and download this: http://downloads.eaxia.com/ZLauncher102.exe
Once you have zlauncher installed, reinstall wizard. But skip the part where it tries to install the launcher. You don't need it, you just need the wizard.
You will probably have some problems with it because for some reason vista doesn't create the dragonrealms and gemstone folders (and all of their sub folders) so you will have to go through and manually make folders for scripts, etc.
Open zlauncher (configure zlauncher), and make sure you have .sal files are handled by zlauncher, and click ok. You should be good to go then. |
