Ok since i've decided on a profession, figured that I better get some questions into the guru directly so here goes hold on tight.
Unarmed combat will we need to train in it at all or will moves come to us naturally without actual training?
Any chance of a sigil and/or <preferably and> meditation list be available posted here for reading? Not asking for level or skill requirements for such just what each ability is about.
Thanks much

Unarmed moves you will definitely need to train the skill in to use. Some will be usable with no skill, but many will require a minimum level of skill to do, or do effectively. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Not going to go into detail on how they work or what checks are involved with the meditations except to say they drain essence until you end it or you run out, right now I'm planning on them being stackable, and we've succeeded in making Charisma a useful and desirable stat.
Stone: Increases resistance to physical attacks.
Spirit: Increases resistance to the other attacks except erosion and poison.
Light: Charges limbs with essence, increases attack effectivness and does extra damage to "undead".
Water: Increases AGL and COR and lowers RTs.
Life: Increases STR and VIT.
Time: Allows you to ignore wound penalties, stops or slows HP loss from bleeding/poison, and increases natural HP restoration.
Wind: Increases MEN, INT, CHA, and PER.
Essence: Transfer focus from/to another, can't continue once you/them are full on essence.
Mind: Allows user to attempt to give simple commands.
Sigils aren't close enough to completion to comment much about them yet, they will possibly be shared with others though Guardian biased, similer to magic and psionics.
(All information liable to change without notice, any similarity to persons living or dead is purely coincidental)

I've been informed that I may have been slightly less then clear...
Essence and Focus are mechanically separate systems, though in concept they're two sides of the same coin. Originally they weren't going to be differentiated at all, but then it was decided that it would work more easily with their various systems split like that. Thus... I said essence in a number of places that I technically meant focus points, for example...

Both focus and essence have to do with the life force within everyone and the things that can drain it. Essence will be directly related to cyberware while focus is the points mages/psionics/guardians spend to fuel effects. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

So focus points come from charisma or something else entirely?
Thanks again

Focus is definatly related to charisma, especially for Guardians. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

I hate to give too much away, but this is an important question. Focus is derived from charisma, intellect and mentality. For most people, all three stats have equal weight.
However, for Guardians, charisma has more weight than the other two but they still are a factor. For Mages, intellect has more weight than the other two stats, and for Psionics, mentality has more weight than the other two stats. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

<dusts off the thread>
Is there any way we can pry an updated list of meditations from you, Hunter? C'mon, you know you want to inform your little minions of your projects.

No need, the list hasn't changed. Almost all of them have been coded in and live for months, you guys just need to level up and test them out for me. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

Sigils will be waiting for the new engine though it's the first big project I plan on doing there. _________________ ~Hunter~ |
