Did anyone watch this on Showtime last? Any specific opinions on it if you did?


For those that don't know what this show is...

It's about a Forensics Expert, more specifically, a Blood Splatter expert. He's a good one too. But he's also a psychopath. I mean like hardcore big player psychiopath, like Dahmer(sp?). He has these urges to kill. But his father taught him as a kid how to control them...And figured if the kid was gonna grow up to be a psychopath killer, best he do some good. So the guy, Dexter, is a blood forensics expert Psychiopathic Vigilante.

I know it sounds corny...But the show was really great, and the main actor plays psychiopath very well.

I recommend for it anyone who has a fascination with the criminally insane, the dark side of life, or just like gorey shows.

So. Almost a year after the first season has ended, and I've watched it 3 full times now (And buying the actual DVDs soon), reading the first and second book...I just received Dexter In The Dark, the third installment, and much to my liking season 2 starts in 5 days.

For any who like the darker side of life, or find it even mildly fascinating, I can't recommend the books and show enough. I'm not a big reader, my attention span is entirely too short unless the book can start interesting and follow through (Reading LoTR: My current record (of which I am more than proud of) is chapter 7. I doubt I'll go past that. Silmarillion I made it to like 12th, and couldn't take it anymore). But each Dexter book has managed to enthrall from beginning to end, so much so that I finished each book in about 3 days, and have reread both of them twice since then.

Check 'em out! You won't be disappointed.
