It's not doing a damn thing for me...but then, hunting elite royal guards didn't either.

Unfortunately when I was the same level as kucho - I couldn't skin them. And now that I can actually skin them - they flee from me all the time.

I guess I incapacitate the kuchos too quick for them to flee, because they rarely do that. I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be, but of 50 kuchos, I'd say 1 maybe 2 flee.

Oh, and if anyone has any spare hiephs, attack ones, I'd pay well. Just whisper to me IG, or let me know here.

It's not the incapacitating them that is the issue. I usually take them down in 2 bolts. It's the 7 second RT to skin one while I've got 3, 4 or 5 in the room with me. At least one is going to flee.

Granted, that doesn't happen often when I'm up there hunting by myself...they just don't spawn enough...but when there's 2, 3 or more other people up there, the spawn rate gets pretty high.

Anyway, my complaint about the fleeing was not that it happens every single one I attack - it was that by the time ANYONE can skin them, they flee.

And since fleeing as zero to do with hiepahreds, I'll just tack on another 85 to my kucho count and say zip as far as the hiepahreds and even rares go. The fool's signet has definitely increased the amount of treasure I get, but I've not personally seen any benefit to getting better (note: rare and/or hiepahred) treasure while wearing it.

[08.20.06] NPC's will no longer run in fear from higher level characters when the NPC is at full health.

Since hiepahred are 'magical' artifacts that get absorbed into a weapon during enchantment, after the process wouldnt it make sense that when you SENSE the weapon that it tells you what magical properties it now holds? Or is it still a "Test and find out for yourself" kinda thing?

Most of them should inform you of their properties, though they aren't noted specifically as hiepahred related. Some of them don't, because they alter aspects of the weapon's characteristics or performance, but those that add bonuses of any type generally are picked up in SENSE.

can't the ones that alter the weapon's physical properties say something like

"you sense this weapon can shock opponents" or "you sense this weapon is lighter than average" and so on?

Yes, though "this weapon is lighter than normal" would be a little misleading if other modifiers came into play to make the weapon more average or even heavier than normal, since various hiepahred and non hiepahred modifiers can do all sorts of things to weight.

11 new messages added to SENSE. All hiepahred should now add a line to SENSE, either via new effects, or via old ones. For example, two lines won't appear for cold resist bonuses, rather you'll see the traditional line for cold resistance only. However, in the case of other effects that didn't show up in SENSE prior to this update, new lines of text will appear in SENSE.
