I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there using GNOMEMud. I recently installed KUbuntu, and it was the only MUD program available in their quick-easy program installer. I'm not having much luck figuring out how to script with it, or install plugins, or really do anything else much aside from change the font. :| If anyone could offer some tips, it would be much appreciated. Or perhaps suggest a better program to use ( and maybe tell me how to install it too ;] ) . I've gotten so used to playing with the Wizard it's hard to get accustomed to anything else.
Thanks! _________________ Behind every optic is a mathematic. |

I'm told that MUSHclient will run using WINE. _________________ If there is one thing in the world that I know, love conquers all, it trancends time and space, defies all odds, and can bring you back from the darkness, it is the guiding light that helps bring you in from the rough stormy seas of life, and it remains even after you have gone.

GNOMEmud seems to require you to know coding coding to make scripts, and that's intimidating. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

It uses python. According to python.org,

A few days? Maybe they're assuming previous coding knowledge.. but I say let's give it a go Soundless. We can suck at learning together. <g> _________________ Behind every optic is a mathematic. |

One of the easiest I've seen to "install" and use (not to mention, insane numbers of plugins) remains to be tkMOO. http://www.awns.com/tkMOO-light/ But as I said in a different post, its triggers are based more on regular expressions, so it'd take some getting used to.
Where can I find the one you're trying now? _________________ Mickey Brunner

Kaelin Rae says, "Greaser."
