since the Eolai topic this was in is locked...
Roughly 2 earth years = 1 HR year (called an age)
8 HR seasons = 1 HR age
1 HR season = 122 days
1 hr day = 18 earth/HR hours
So...
4 HR seasons is roughly an earth year (not exactly, but close enough)
...actually it's like 3 HR seasons = 1 earth year, but in the CM they go with the 4 seasons to an earth year... So yeah. I've always been confused about that too. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Look at it this way.
18 hours per day x 122 days per season x 4 seasons = 8784 hours
24 hours per day x 365 days per year = 8760 hours
Not -exactly- 1 Earth to 1 Haelrahvian, but 1.002 : 1.000 is pretty close
So, if 1 HR year is essentially 2 Earth years, then someone 20 HR years (ages) old is 40 Earth years old. But, since we use seasons, not years, and since there's 4 seasons per Earth year, it's x4. So, yes, it is Earth years * 4 = HR age (in seasons). _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Yeah, I did the math and put it in the Eolai racial folder since that's where the discussion started...shoulda copied it here.
Even so...it's still...complicated. ^.^; Well, complicated for people like me that would rather not ever have to do math...even to figure out tips at resturants (that's what cellphones with tip calculators are for!) _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage
