Fire pits are now available on Echak. This is kind of a "fair warning" type post. You will only be able to purchase fire pits for an outdoor room AND if you plan to shop for a fire pit, be aware the Nowbi will be watching you.

Here, I'll post it for everyone. I'd love to own one...but alas....no monies left!
[Echak Island, Deep Red Hut]
A deep red crackled paint-like substance covers the walls of this hut, like someone painted the room with blood and fired it on. The Nowbi are known for their aggressiveness towards outsiders which makes you wonder why they are crafting fire pits for sale. A deep grunt comes from behind the counter and what sounds like a clay pot being lit, well that answers that question. Better get what you want and get out!

2) questions!
are firepits outside fireplaces?
do fireplaces work like campfires?
does a firepit function any differentely than a campfire, other than being cool and full of nowbi goodness?

Yes, they are. Which, it is a 750,000 camp fire but some people prefer the "atmosphere" of the fire pit as compared to "a camp fire" so I suppose that is a good enough reason.
Yes, they do. To put it simply: You have a camp fire INSIDE your fireplace/fire pit. You can cook on it, it gives you bonuses etc.
No it doesn't, other than the atmosphere messaging. Which is much nicer.

Yes, me too! I've been alcheming almost non-stop to get all the cool stuff! I have my stash for lab stuff...now I want a fire pit. Only 500k to go. ;.;

the hut is just in the hostile area, so either they mean when you're in the area you risk being attacked by nowbi and/or that nowbie can enter/spawn in the hut itself as well.
