Yeah actually... I just remembered the janitor will exclude any alchemy tools. But I wouldn't count on this staying so unless they are fixture types that can't be picked up. |
Why not boiling pots of water aswell! I lost 50k to that one number off typo.. and then left that on the ground in my workshop when I went to get supplies.. |

...wait, what?
boiling pots of water (you mean the ones for candlemaking?) aren't furniture. the fact that [portable] alchemy tools can be left lying around was a feature and is now more like an oversight. why would they add things to the list if the plan is to stop it completely? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Workshop, as in, the tech building? If you had items on the floor of workshop you rented, the janitor would ignore them there.
Edit: On further consideration, how did you get the water off the stove? _________________ Mickey Brunner

Trev, the stove and crucible can't be moved physically or in the design terminal. |
Thanks. This stuff isn't normal "furniture" so I have to do some working around.

Also, It would be nice to have the option when selecting furniture to move to change your mind and go back to the main menu without selecting furniture. |
Okay.

Edit: Also, it doesn't take up space in a room eitherl |

I set a room with a cardinal exit OUT to a connecting room but it doest have something to match that on the other room.
Code: |
You also see a jade nabe etched with several yawciwes etched around it in a flowing pattern, wooden door, heavily guarded door, opening, an ingot casting die, an ingot casting die and an ingot casting die.
You notice exits leading south, northwest, and out.
out
>You go out.
[Deck]
A wooden deck stretches several feet over the lake gives you a wondrous view of the huge carved waterfall depicting two Darju men pulling the mountain apart to let the shower of crystal clear water flow into the lake below. Water is all you can see except for a thin trail of land leading outward towards an ocean inlet.
You also see stoned trail.
You see no obvious exits here. |

It's not a bug. There is no natural opposite to "out" since we have no "in" direction. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

What can i use to get back the other way? Without adding another portal on the otherside? _________________ Lick or Be Licked |

it's a situation where you'll have to add a portal.
that said you can also hide the portal on the side with OUT to make sure it isn't seen and is as behind the scenes as possible. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I may be wrong, but I think you can use "out" to get back, too. So each room has an "out" pointing to each other. Kind of odd, but an option. The normal way of doing it is to have a portal on the other side though. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Yeah but if you scroll back up to what I had posted, there is no OUT on the other side. _________________ Lick or Be Licked |

there isn't supposed to be an out on the other side. this is mainly because there's no IN direction in Haelrahv. out has no opposite. north has south, east has west, northeast and southwest, etc etc etc. out is the exception and will need either a portal on the other side or an out placed on the other side, as well.
it does stink that you can end up getting people caught in your home this way if you forget to do a portal/direction back to where the OUT was from, but they can always LEAVE HOME in the event they are ever lose/trapped. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I didn't intend to imply a set of attached "outs" were made automatically. They aren't, which is intentional, but you can always create a matched pair of "outs" if you wish. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I tried to put in a matched pair of outs but the system said that there is already a portal set up for the two rooms. And I tried to go "out" on the other side that doesnt show "out" and it doesnt recognize an out there. _________________ Lick or Be Licked |
