I consider fishing bait very useful, even if it does look gross.

One man's trash....

The fishing bait has a limit though. 1000 I think. At least, the bait Reyn got had a limit because it was on the more useful side.

Josie wanted something that fit the theme. And if you want to call MOLDY logs glamorous or usefull... well... go right ahead but I personally consider anything that is moldy: trash.

i think they're useful in the sense that there's no need to forage for campfire/fireplace/etc wood with that.

granted, it's a minor thing, and i'm quite sure the price tag of $250,000 (or whatever) more than makes up for saving a minute or two to forage up for a campfire, but i do have to admit that it's one of the more useful ones i've seen.

very cool and smart to do, though. Smile

That kinda isn't true. The bait is unlimited. And Henrietta did not say there was a low limit on the bait because it was "more useful". Not sure where that came from but Reyn's bait is just as unlimited as Josie's logs.

I can't help but think that that sounds horribly, horribly wrong.

Sorry, I just remember Reyn IMing me with the fact that he now only had 999 bugs when taking one. Perhaps I was mistaken though.

I don't know if they are limited.. but my container has a counter. Its currently at
Code:
You select a green bug from a green carrier of goshu bugs.
[You have 9860 green bugs left.]

Now, I don't know if this is useful, because I could go to the store, and buy carriers for $75 each. inorder for my $250,000 bug carrier to pay for itself, I need to use just shy of 84,000 bugs.. I don't see that happening, even with sharing my bait, and fishing everyday.
Firewood seems like a very useful thing though, no RT from foraging, no need to go track it down, and when you light it on fire, you get a good bonus to core skills.. but this only saves about a min for josie.. so who knows.
I almost got vodka.. now that would have been useful.. I need my vodka..

<imagines the vodka the Knickknackers would make and grosses out> Shocked

While my container of fishing bait might not be saving me money...it's definitely saving me time and space. No running to Chodaku (or the Vale) for bait and no hoarding a ton of bait packs so I don't have to. I consider it money well spent.

I guess the thing to remember with Bertha and Henrietta is...appeal to their senses. And I mean appeal to THEIR senses, not your own. Razz You might come up with something you can both enjoy (them making, you using).

As for the countdown - mine does that too. I think any of the items do that, but I believe they are still unlimited (points at Hannah's post). If you run out, just ask for a 'refill'. It's what I plan on doing...someday...whenever this cage empties...if it happens before Live. Ha!

Those logs are quite heavy, too. Razz

Code:
>get log
>
You help yourself to a moldy log!
>appr my log
>
You carefully look over a moldy log.
It cannot be worn.
You think a moldy log is basically worthless.
Roundtime: 3 sec.
>weigh my log
>
By your best estimates, a moldy log weighs roughly between 24 and 25 pounds.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

The item I was originally going to get from the Knickerknackers was some nasty waterballoons, but went with the drink instead.

Code:
>get bottle
>
You help yourself to a deep blue bottle!
>look my bottle
The golden seal on the cap of this large bottle has been broken. Pristine white lines upon the bottle form the outline of an ewoae-headed serpent coiling around it. The serpent's face has a drunken grin upon it.
>appr my bott
>
You carefully look over a deep blue bottle.
It cannot be worn.
This is an alcoholic beverage.
You think a deep blue bottle is basically worthless.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

So now Josie and I have some drinks in our party area/patio(it also has the dancefloor) along with some moderately handy(if nasty) firewood.

Thanks for the trashcans! Expensive trashcans, but trashcans nonetheless!

heh, yeah. it's fun to think of the actual value of money in HR when compared to money IRL.

$10,000 for a trashcan at the office store vs $10 at staples, heh.

Well hey, a $10 item IRL costs over $100,000 if you were working in Lao Kips... Wink

There's also supply and demand. You deman trash cans, we supply...at a high cost, because we can...and we know you will. (pay)

XD Less! I ordered a new black plastic 10-galleon trashcan for myself yesterday at work for 4.99. ^.^ Yay IG inflation! Maybe IG money is based off of yen. I tend to go the 10,000 = 10 anyhow. It's painfully easy to make that sort of money, even as a lower level character.

^.^; I have an altered light in my storeroom that cost 110k total that's very similiar to one in the shop for 10k! But that's okay. Beau's right...if people want it...they'll buy it.

Even if it's funny that 5 plastic trashcans cost as much as a piano here....or a shirt in the spring store!
