Player crafted armor is much better than stock store bought armor, any way you look at it. Just because you are not seeing insanely huge increases does not mean that they are not there. So for those wanting good light armor, I do suggest player crafted armor, whether it be soft leather or any other type, it is far from being a waste. _________________ ~Well behaved women rarely make history~

noooooooo i didn't mean it was bad
i LOVE the stuff, really!
my point was that there's no reason to make anything other than hard leather scale (jaz-whatveer). it would be better (to me), if it worked like this:
1) scale armor was good against blunt
2) ring was good against pierce
3) stud was good against slash
soft leather could weigh less than hard, but protect less as well.
it isn't that the armor is bad, but that with so many options (hard or soft leather and ring scale or stud attachments), there's no real reason (that I see) than use hard leather scale. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

There's a significant difference when you're a fledgling hunter-type looking for exceptionally good armor without any hindrance and low weight. The skill gaps will be even more pronounced when Trevor reconfigures the hindrance values.
Plus, armor crafting is a far cry from what we'd consider "completion". As-yet-unbirthed ideas from Valla aside, we've got a huge package of plans already waiting their turn to go into the system. _________________ Mickey Brunner
