I'm going to be restructuring exp grants some to be more level based than they are now, so fighting things close to your level (these are close to Kit's level) will have better results.

The spawn rate is directly tied to the number of combatants in the area so the only way lurkers will spawn more is if more people are down in their hunting area. Players in adjacent underwater rooms where lurkers don't spawn do not count in this calculation.

Lurkers drop boxes more frequently and drop better quality boxes than Kucho. Any experience that conflicts with that would be luck, the rate of kill factor, or level disparities.

it may have just been that there aren't as many lurkers as there are kuchos

(ps: don't change that, trevor <3).

That could be true too....I wish they were on the ES...but I'm glad that they don't swarm.

Here's me this morning...after breaking the area by peering to see if I could slow journey swimming to lurkers...

So...one step in almost forty minutes in lurkers. But thanks Trevor for looking at the exp gain. A little more would be great since there is much more danger for me here....kuchos can't touch me...so because they're much more dangerous, they should be filling me up. Granted, in the same amount of time it took, I could have killed three times as many kuchos according to spawn rate and that they're on the engagement system.

I'm not so sure about better loot...I only seem to get junk from lurkers....or just gems. In kuchos you get 5k slabs and 3k clubs and a whole slew of other sellables that amount to more than the gems.

another random question.

since the lurkers have unique C UC R hoppers, are they part of the UR system?

Yes, they use the standard UR hopper.
