I know this has had to've been covered before, but I was just wondering, since I have no life and nothing better to do at the moment, how is the subject of healing going to be dealt with IG? I know that if something requires intensive surgery, Medics will be able to handle that, but what about the everyday scratch or bruise? Will we just have to let them naturally heal over time, or would there be some kind of device that Medics will get that'll heal it over a short period of time (ie. those neat things in Star Trek)?

Ok first off, wounds dont heal by themselves...i mean after all what work would we have if they did?!
There are a few options to healing wounds, the basic being bandages and gels/salves. These will only heal external wounds, they work slowly and not as effective as devices...these will be accessable to non-Medics.
As a Medic pursues their education, they get the ability to manipulate more advanced devices, ones that heal faster and more efficently. As to whether or not some of these devices will be available to non-Medics has yet to be decided...(ie. the poll of the month )
Along the lines of the devices, Medics will also have the power of memory restoration and resurection (still in the works).
We do have tending and bleeding wounds, I am currently in the process of finishing up that system as well as completeing the actual devices.
When I finish up more of the devices and healing system, I will post a more detailed post However, any ideas/questions/suggestions are happily accepted (for complaints, take them to the Mage folder...Trevor can handle them )

Just to clarify, Darju wounds heal over time. The healing isn't especially quick, however. The rate of healing is also level-based -- both the likelihood to heal a wound each "pulse" and the amount healed. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

Don't forget to make the system reward the experience -after- the wound needs to be retended. Go DR for that lovely addition. ::Grumble::

That's what made me think that everyone would have some ability to heal over time, just that Darju had it to a greater degree. Oh, well. Can't have everything, I guess.

Isn't it great though? I mean, you can tend up someone bleeding everywhere from horrible wounds, and then when they leave the room, no one gets the experience.
On and there's that cool thing about how backs are finally hard for yerself to tend, which makes sense with it being hard to reach back there and all. Now if I could just figure out why other people's backs are 8 times harder to tend then any other spot as well... hmmmm. _________________ Dragoonseal |

There may be some spells, psi, alchemy, med devices, implants, or other items that provide regeneration capabilities, but not to the degree Darju have and Darju would likely be able to "stack" them with their innate healing abilities.
Darju also recover health points faster. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
