Sorry, I would have emailed Valla if I remembered her address and it is probably something stupid easy anyway. But then it'd take me another week to mention this...

Could you possibly add khaki? To the browns area.

And not to be more of a pain but could the two whites on the end be EASILY switched over to the front of the list so that all whites are together? It does seem like you've tried to keep the colors in order somewhat.

edit: I removed the list from Collin Dautrich because when I submitted it did not look at all like the preview and was unreadable and troublesome.

Valla, would it be possible to get Collin to offer silver dye? I've been wondering why he does not. Other suggestions I have heard and come up with that might be difficult are camoflage, rainbow, pastels...

Very Happy i like the camouflage suggestion, but i think also cool would be to let artisans use the 'batik' wax-and-dyeing process to work out something like that themselves.

batik is like this--dye the entire item olive green first (or the lightest colour youre using first), then apply patterned blocks saturated with melted wax at various spots over the item. the wax prevents additional dye from colouring those parts. then you dye the item again in the next-darkest colour (like some kind of brown), wax over the parts you want to keep brown, dye the item black .. left with an olive, brown and black item. i used to make stuff like this, i superglued absorbent cord onto wooden blocks in the shape of the pattern i wanted to appear in the item (like stars, circles)...

since there are already 'block' and 'wax' items in hr, this sounds like something that could be worked into artisans' repertoire. given the dye options available, could make all kinds of combinations...

'some batik-dyed cargo pants in shades of olive, khaki and dark brown with a woodland camouflage image' ... 'a batik-dyed cloak in shades of pastel pink and baby blue with a dust bunny image' ... yes, long wording, but stuff like that.

feedback totally welcome.

Only one problem with that...taps can't have commas. There's probably some other way to deal with that. Tie dying could be cool too.
