I was wondering if the color you have Collins dye fabric to can be part of the tap.
>tap purple pouch
You tap a purple canvas pouch.
>tap pale pouch
You tap a pale yellow pouch.
It would make things a bit easier to keep track of. For me at least. I like to keep different things in different containers, like thread and foragables.

You can always do "tap first/second/third/fourth/fifth/etc pouch". Just know where they are in the order of your inventory and you're set.
I'm only offering this as a temporary solution if/until your idea gets implemented. I'm not bashing it.

Thank you William, I did know about that. It's not quite as easy to remember which number things are as it is to remember color or fabric since you can see that easily.
