elementals!

as an unpdate to how things are going, it seems that the elementals are in the shrines at Castle Z'dan.

shadow and fire are aggressive, water and wind seem passive (well, at least water).

so, beware those who want to pray at yeii's shrine.

It should be noted that these elementals are beefier(?) versions of the ones that invaded.

They also appear ~4 at a time, so watch yourselves.

I wouldnt mind someone who has killed a shadow elemental to chime in and give a rough idea of the skill involved. I'm by far not the sneakiest person around, but I'm fairly sneaky... Anything that can point me out every time is mean in my book. Even more so when they follow up with a critical hit that leaves me running for the circle so I can go to the hospital on Jareya cause I cant make it to the one in Llanfair. but back to the point... anyone have any idea where the shadow elementals fall as far as skill needed to kill/survive them?

when the shadows first came out, they'd hit yaru (but not hard) and i could hit them with a full aim.

after a few waves, i could only hit them when kneeling with a full aim and they'd always stun me (while standing, not kneeling, so that wasn't a new factor).

i don't wanna test anymore, heh.

yaru has ~180 marksmanship, btw.

Well was doing pretty good for awhile, killed a one and was working on another while I had about five in the room
They were unable to search me out yet....
I could not take them by suprise with ambush
I could doubleslash or plain slash and hit them yet....
if I used attack I would miss each time

my parry evasion and weapons skills are all maxed with bonuses
coordination is unbelievable and agility is amazing

hope that gives you an idea of how mean they are

I haven't tried the new ones, but Vhen killed one when they invaded. With techs, he had probably 130 coord and 275 unarmed... pummeled the head (100+ perc) and stunned one, from then it took me several pummels to kill him. I was able to parry most of the time with 220 parry, but they could certainly hit me.
