Should essence loss affect certain verbs and interactions automatically? |
It should affect them, barring any applicable actions or changing results automatically. |

It should in rare cases bar them but usually not interfere. |

It should be up to the player how to role-play this; the system should not handle it at all. |

I have no opinion either way. |

And if there were mechanics in place to restrict this, then there wouldn't be this problem. Instead they decided to let have the same hair choices as anyone else. |
Not completely accurate. The problem comes in when you have the "most don't have" or "most have" rule, rather than a flat do or do not have rule. How do you put in a system to force most Elotheans to have no hair? You could randomly not offer the option, but people will just reroll till they get what they want. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

The same way that keeps savants from appearing only once in a very great while. Savants are Elotheans born with cat-slitted eyes who are considered blessed by the gods.
Sure, if they wanted hair that dern badly they could, but lots wouldn't, and many wouldn't know how, not all (probably not many at all) Elotheans are players that are rolling up a new character.
People, as a whole, are not smart. They will pick something simply because it is there at the time. This is evident with the changes that went in to fix Prydaen ans Rakash features only a week or two ago. It automatically fixed many fur configurations that were not sposed to be allowed, but were. Things like white fur and white stripes are now fixed. These were obviously stupid markings, and they were complained about, but people pick them just because they are there. _________________ Dragoonseal |

By the way, feel free to ignore me if I'm ranting. I meant no disrespect to any of you. _________________ Dragoonseal |
