Not really my normal posting grounds, but.... I think it would be nice if an artisan could take a hide, and make somethign out of it, but maybe some sort of tanning... so instead of

A gragrok hide belt

you get...

A leather belt.

Kinda along the lines of the belt pattern idea, a braided leather belt, just an idea.

yeah, i'd love more leather type things, because i really can't see how most of the wonderful wools and silks we have could work as boots.

I mean what can you really do with "a hushoguj hide belt of exceptional craftsmanship", stitching and attachments just aren't going to cut it. Yes you can make fabric ones. But for hides you can't really do much else.

Yeah, I'd like a nice belt ( as long as we're talking about belts) but there isnt really any out there, or boots for that matter that are really my style. I think its really great with all the new fabrics and patterns and whatnot that you can be more descriptive on yoru items, and what you make, but... still would be nice I think to be able to step back, and eb less specific. making a hide into just "leather" to repeate myself, would just be really nice for some of those items, boots, belts gloves...

yeah, i love that we have the option of many cotton types or just plain 'cotton'.

i'd love to get a plain 'silk', 'wool', and 'leather' as well.

The number's significantly more astronomical if you factor in the old textiles, critter skins, thread color (not to mention twists), notions, and embroidery patterns, etc. That original figure was just computing the new textiles, dye, and patterns with all possible tailoring projects.

My math may be wrong, but figuring everything except critter skins and embroidery: approx 147.8 million combinations, slightly similar or no.
