I'd like a luck cord, too.

He said box item. Nothing was said about lucky trait + lucky item.

Yaru has a luck cord. He can't stack the box finding luck with another item. I was letting him know. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

I was under the impression that this was pretty much common knowledge. If not, at least common conjecture. It would have been insane if luck items stacked.

you'll notice that mickey said only one box finding or cash finding item gets applied.
lucky items and the lucky trait don't go toward the chance to find an item or a box, that is perception.
lucky items and the lucky trait go toward the chance for the box's contents to be better than normal.
i know that the lucky trait AND a luck item can stack. i'm not sure if lucky items can stack. but i'd still rather buy a non cord lucky item, mainly because i'd want a better looking belt, heh.
ps: just so i know i'm not crazy, i looked to find where i remember hearing that lucky and the luck boost thing can stack.

The lucky trait and a box-finding bonus item will work in conjunction.
On the other hand, I think you're misreading how those bonuses work, and it seems to be a longstanding-yet-common misconception.
Code: |
Lucky (Find extra treasure from hunting)
This object enhances one's chances of finding loot on slain foes. |
To debunk, there is no (at this point in time, anyway) mystical means of increasing your chances of populating a box with a better item. _________________ Mickey Brunner

ah, got ya.
so a luck cord works with perception, not with lucky? _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

Just for the record, I never said that the lucky trait and a lucky item don't stack. I said that lucky items don't stack on each other. And I had no idea that the loot part of the lucky cord didn't work. ::hum:: I thought it gave you a bonus to lucky. I probably won't wear this thing then. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

What aspect of the loot part isn't working when it 'enhances your chance of finding loot'? The staff have never hinted or otherwise made any attempt at misleading players to believe that the box-finding cords (the term 'lucky' was coined by another player, I'll add) had any part in what you find inside a box; in fact, almost two pages of the 'showoff item' thread discussed in detail how boxes are filled. _________________ Mickey Brunner

Oh oh oh. I misread. I didn't think they had anything to so with what's in the box. Just at finding boxes. I thought you said they didn't do that...^.^; Whoops. They work exactly like I thought they work. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage
