I've noticed that one needs no skill in FA to apply bandages with dermaplaz and tend wounds. With that in mind, what exactly is the skill FA for? And what plans are there for it in the future?

I think you get lower RTs applying dermaplaz and bandages with higher FA.

Actually, first aid IS used to determine if you can tend a wound. You just most likely have, at your level, high enough stats you are circumventing it. In addition (for tending), it also determines how long the wound stays tended, how quickly the wound heals, how much RT you get.

Edit: As for upcoming uses, well, with all the upcoming projects I have, I'm sure there will be more uses than just dermagel and dermaplaz for non-Medics.

Do you have any plans on modifying the first aid skill anymore?

Honestly, I don't think Tshar should be able to just tend any bleeder just because he's really coordinated or intelligent or has mental prowess or whatever combination of stats that allowed him to bypass the skill check involved in tending. Tending heavy duty wounds should require a bit skill IMHO.

I think in this case she is thinking along the lines that anyone can tie a piece of cloth around a limb or head to slow down the bleeding, assuming its within reach of the person, granted a medic would probably use antibiotic, wrap it perfect, secure it etc.....

I agree with Tshar, but mostly because I think FA should be useful, even to those with high stats.

i disagree on the behalf that there aren't enough stat points to go around.

but i agree on a logical "makes sense to have" level.

One of the things that I plan on adding in soon is a base skill check.
