here's somethingi'd love to see in tailoring: different fabrics/pelts/etc giving different properties.
for example, some might be lighter than others, while others might add a pound or two to capacity.
along with that, maybe using all fleshed/tanned hides would cause the product to weigh less, since the parts were set up properly.
ie: let's say bob tends to make, with ososha, a 100 pound capacity backpack that weighs 5 pounds.
using esilan, his backpack can hold 90, yet then weighs 3 pounds.
using gragrok hides, his backpack can hold 105, but also weighs 7 pounds.
using kashaga pelts, his backpack holds the normal 100, but it weighs 4 pounds.
yet, then, if he tans those kashaga pelts, it can weigh 3 pounds.
maybe it can work like this...
normal fabrics
Code: |
ososha: no modifiers
lumis: -5 size -1 weight
esilan: -10 size -2 weight
xarola: +5 size +2 weight
karbora: +10 size +4 weight |
vale fabrics:
Code: |
leather: +10 size +2 weight
ashatae: -2 weight
miasha: +5 size -1 weight |
critter stuff
Code: |
skins: -10 size -2 weight
pelts: -1 weight
hides: +5 size +2 weight |
i swear there's a logic to that stuff, but i don't want to end up rambling too much in this entry. perhaps if there's interest in the logic, i'll post it. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
