Posting Etiquette, or what you should (not) be saying.
1. Is your post relevant? Does it deal with the subject material of the thread? If not, you might be better beginning a new thread.
2. Is your post meaningful? Does it bring new insight and/or opinion to the subject of the thread?
3. Is your post constructive? Does it explain why you dislike something? Is your argument for/against supported with examples? Does it offer potential solutions?
4. Is your post aimed at someTHING or someONE? If it is aimed at someONE, use a private message instead. We don't want to hear you air your dirty laundry. Even if your disagreement is because that person disagreed with you, it is a private matter.
5. Did you use English instead of hacker or chatroom speak? If not, retype it. This forum is used to communicate thoughts and ideas, not as a chatroom.
6. Did you proofread? There/their, its/it's and then/than are some of the most common spelling mistakes. If in doubt, remember dictionary.com is free. Reading the sentences aloud to yourself will help you catch run-on sentences and will also help you check for appropriate capitalization and punctuation.
7. Shorten the quotes. If you find it absolutely necessary to quote the person you are responding to, delete the irrelevant information. We've already read it.

And before someone else points it out...
I have been guilty of doing at least one of the above things, I regret it, and I plan on making every effort to not do so in the future.
