Eventually we'll be able to build airships and stuff. Now we just have to band together and not let other professions have em. XD I've realized a long time ago that this game is mostly fantasy. I think it would be awesome if there were like floating space stations or colonies on the moons to go visit, but that's because I'm not heavily sci-fi than Shadowrun and a lot of the techy stuff here reminds me of Shadowrun. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

It should be pointed out here that magic is better than technology because technology comes from scientists, but magic comes from Satan.
While both are evil, Satan clearly trumps the scientists. _________________ -Downtweak

i'm impressed it took this long for someone to complain about the artisan teleport thing.
anyway, not everyone uses telepathy, just like not everyone uses comms. along with that, telepathy IS getting ranges put in with the new psionic system, IIRC (there's a lesser and greater telepathy). _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

I've stopped worrying about complaining what other professions have. Yeah, I do feel techs are getting slighted, but as of yesterday I've tried every profession except guardian and merc to AT LEAST level ten (trooper only to 6) and I just don't like any better than being a tech. So that's the way the cookie crumbles. It's not fair artisans have a teleporter (when I believe Zap asked if it would be possible to have some and it was denied), but hey. Artisans are by far my second favorite profession...mostly because they have so much and I never get bored playing my artisan...as I often do with Kit. I was seriously concidering reallocating Kit to an artisan...but I'd miss the Beast. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

in all fairness, i'm also quite sure there are plenty of people who feel techs being the only ones who own droids is unfair, as well as many other things in the game. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

The spirit servants don't give bonuses, though. So it's not exactly the same thing.

Artisans can teleport? How does that work? And I don't mean that in an angry way, I'm just curious because I totally didn't know.

You tried them all except for the best two! C'mon. Guardians and mercenaries are clearly the coolest. Just ask me.
And, um, sorry to keep the derailment going. |

Artisans can teleport from Llanfair to Echak. _________________ "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" -- Adam Savage

Is it some kind of instant-whenever-you-want kind of ability, or do they have to go to a specific place to do it?

..Because I wasn't aware they had a way to teleport, either?

it's a known fact that will and i are the bestest of obnoxious buds, so if i know something, he automatically knows it through borg-like proxy.
duh.
and all the artisan teleport thing does is allow an artisan over X level (or skill, or stat, or whatever) to get from llanfair to echak, which is becoming the artisan capital of haelrahv. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!

LOL, *I* wasn't even aware artisans could teleport. Seems kinda odd to me, but meh.
Techs'll be getting some cool stuff in Live, one of which (hopefully, if Trevor approves) will be vehicle travel.. travelling from city to city via predetermined point-to-point movement (Say you're in Llanfair, and you wanted to drive/fly/ride a hovercycle to Wargale.. you'd hop in your vehicle and plug in your destination, wait out the roundtime and bam, you're there! At least, that's the concept I had thought out, I [or someone else] might come up with something better later on). Anyway, it'll kinda be like mages' ability to teleport or whatever, but in a more mundane fashion.
I'm a little curious to know how techs have been slighted.. care to elaborate? _________________ Something wicked this way comes... |

X can do Y and a tech can't.
by default that makes techs the oppressed profession of haelrahv. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
