You work off the death penalty before each attempt, right?
(just making sure)

This isn't intended as a put down or smack at you (because if you can take a Kucho down with you as you go, I say all the more power to you), but going just by your level (on public topscore), are you taking into account that Modan Kucho are like 12-15 levels higher than you?
Which isn't to say it's unprecedented; Mercs and Troopers are hunting way over their level all the time - but with an in-progress combat system of lucky hits and near-misses, that might shift the balance more in favor of the Kuchos. _________________ An eye for an eye; but my eye's worth more.

Yeah, I honestly wasn't expecting to be able to kill them, but vacori don't give me much trouble, so I decided to give it a shot. I killed my first one in the first hit; the second time I went out was with someone, I did fine until they messed up my eyes; the third time I did great.
I guess I can accept it as luck that, for a period of 3 hours, not one Kucho managed to land a critical hit to any vital area, but..why has my ability to hit them gone from impeccable to crap? Even if I move so that I come in the room with full balance, health, etc. and then aim and fire before the Kucho attacks, I still can't hit.
I'm also going in with more than a couple bonuses; I think when I had the fire going I had like 215 pulse, and these were my relevant stats the last time I failed miserably to hit a Kucho:
Agility: (65)
Coordination: (116)
Mentality: (54)
Perception: (115)
Vitality: (59) |

What type of defense do you use primarily? Parry, evasion, or shield? _________________ It is better to be pissed off than pissed on. |

Wouldn't you use evasion with a gun-type weapon more then parry? |

Her low agility kind of trumps evasion a little.

Yup, William's right. I kind of try to balance the tech-stats with the combat-stats; I have no tech-related reason to train agility, so I go with parry. |

No creatures have ranged weapons, though. Or at least I don't think any do.

Nowbi Archers, I'd think.
And if someone isn't shooting at you, just as a Kucho wouldn't be shooting at you, then parry is better. |

Evasion would help with that blasted Nowbi flame wave, too. |

i don't know about you guys, but once things have different ranges, as a long-range fighter i'll be a lot happier with evasion. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
