Code:
>buy case
You purchase a court case.

When purchasing a case, it doesn't show how much you spent on it.

I think the payout should be raised more hehe. It takes like 20-30 minutes to research a case just to get paid 1k, 2k, 3k, something like that.

Well, cases have actually had their payouts raised from the old system. Crats are making much more off cases now than they were in the past. I don't feel that raising them any more would be a significant benefit to the economy. Besides, the amount of experience gained from cases now is too good to even consider raising the monetary gains.

Can you make studying cases teach research for nskills? And doing cases teach whatever type of way you use to try cases?

intimidate - intimidation
argue - law
persuade - persuasion.

Will tackle that problem as soon as I get the major bugs out of the system. (IE: getting payouts to reflect the crime properly)

So. . .what's the word on cases? There was some kinda message in game that said there would be a message on the boards about the judges going on vacation.

I dunno if this is a bug but when doing felony cases alot of times Naru will receive a horrible 'roll'. I'm assuming that when doing cases each time you argue\persuade\intimidate you receive a score, and that score determines your effect on that particular judge.

So anyways Naru seems to get a single horrible score when arguing once. . .

Code:
Roundtime: 15 sec.
Judge Eosaieotal Achaib says, "The logic of your argument seems faulty, but please continue."

But after that he goes on to win the case in a flawless manner. . .

Code:
Roundtime: 15 sec.
Judge Eosaieotal Achaib says, "I can see where you are headed with this argument.  Please continue."

It just seems like that one horrible roll happens about once every 2 of cases. I think it's weird that Naru can get one totally bad score then nothing but great rolls to win the case.

As far as occasionally getting horrible rolls, you may be at a point with that one crime where 80-90% of the time you'll roll great, but just on the cusp where you can also roll low enough to get a "bad" message. The other factor is your luck roll. The code is such that no matter how high your skills are, you will occasionally get a roll bad enough to fail your argument. This is intentional but shouldn't be happening every 2 cases. I'll look into the code and see what the particulars are, but if you could, keep an eye on the crimes you're having an issue with and see if there's a pattern.

Thanks everyone for keeping me up to speed on cases, I like to make sure they're working as planned. Justice is coming and I want cases to be flawless once we add player cases into the mix.

PS:(Naru, you mentioned a typo in the judges somewhere and I'm not sure if I fixed it or not. If you happen to remember where or what it was, I'd appreciate a reminder, thanks!)
