Should we learn skills by doing faster and get rid of the skill trainers, a la Modus Operandi/DragonRealms?
Yes; I liked Modus Operandi's and Dragonrealms' skill systems and want to see something very similar in Haelrahv.

No; Just because Trevor was from Simu doesn't mean his games have to be like theirs and/or I like what Trevor has planned.

Just because I registered two years ago, does not mean I've been actively reading the boards for that long.

okay, then...

You've been at least remotely interested in haelrahv for two years or more, yet never got past level one?

Argh.

Whoever was interested in a chart on how EXP Drain Rates change per level, I believe Aesal has it copied on his site.

I'm really looking forward to the new stuff comming out.

...does it mean we'll have to do the 20th level quests over when the wipe stats and stuff? It was just a little annoying is all...esspecially for the pearl. <3 Inaira for her help.

I AM really looking forward to getting skill wiped so I can spend points in armor...not cooking. Hehe.

The only way you will have to, or have a choice to redo the 20th quest is if you reroll.

BTW, being one who spent hours just to raise one Primary Magic rank in DR at times, I don't really agree our current rates of gain are lower than DR. Even MO is incredibly slow at high skill levels, especially for certain skills.

I've been here about 2 months, and I made it up to 20th level. I played DR for 2 years with my last character (I've had 6 in different bursts, quitting when DR got too expensive for me and starting fresh each time I came back) and he was only 50th circle.

Being able to train anything and have it thrown into a standard pool makes things go much faster. Much much much.

Heh drain rates in DR got insanely slow at higher levels. I had a pretty high circle war mage there about a year ago before I sold my account and it would take a good two days or more of dedicated draining to gain a rank.
