While it was intended as a jab at Bush, this really wasn't the time or place to make political commentary. As is probably obvious by how "out of context" it was taken.

Yes, evidently. I'll leave the derailing up to more capable people. |

LOL! Ohhh, how could I not see that that was a joking barb at President Bush and not a general statement taken out of context, it was so obvious!

Hmm, putting others first. Now there's an idea. |
I have to put myself first. I'm American. |
Maybe it's just me, but...that's one of the most unAmerican and offensive things I can think of someone saying in response to Trevor's post. |
Right. No joking. I forgot. |
Nothing to do with no joking, Kit. Some things I, personally, feel are too important to joke about (if you can call what you said joking...sorry, different sense of humor than I have, obviously).
Giving respect to someone or something is earned. Giving respect is also learned. Unfortunately, not all can be taught that, any more than not all can be respected, I guess. |

I wasn't blaming you. I was clarfying. And thinking on it...I think humans in general think of themselves first. Ooh, philosophical. Probably not. I never did good in philosophy classes. |

posting lesson #2362: It's still good to occasionally remove a few of the quotes within quotes within quotes.

I've been kinda wondering about the "Steve-from-The-Jerry-Springer-Show" wanna be in the front row, myself. Err, not that it's easy to become distracted from the Big Happy Dude. _________________ Before you can react, several abberated lifeforms rend their way out of your chest. You want to make a friendly wager on that? Like, say, your soul?
