What is the best music you find to listen to while playing in your favorite deviant roleplaying game?
I listen to a lot of rock, a lot of dance.
Specifically I've been enamored with The Killers, Butterfly Boucher, Frou Frou, The Prodigy, the Faith, Black Eyed Peas lately.

There's something like this at http://www.haelrahv.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=1540 , but maybe it's high time to revive it. _________________ Mickey Brunner

I knew I had copied my library at some point, I just couldn't find it. I have some additions, too.. quite a few, actually. So should we start posting over there again or start anew here?

I'm too lazy to start in that old thread.
Right now, as I'm relaxing after a grueling day at the Courthouse:
The Internet is for Porn - Kate Monster, Trekkie Monster & cast (Avenue Q)
The internet is for porn, the internet is for porn,
Grab your d*** and double-click for porn, porn, porn!
I listen to a mix of songs from:
Broadway - Wicked, Avenue Q, Fame, Rent
Pop* - Lindsay Lohan, Atomic Kittens, Ash, Boyzone, Cake, Cher, Coldplay, Nirvana, Nelly, Robbie Williams, Tata Young, Whitney Houston, Will Smith, Beatles, Billy Joel, Queen, Barry White, Josh Groban, Guns N Roses, Red Hot Chili Pepper, etc.
Classic Rock** - Bob Seger, Cat Stevens (okay...folk...), Charlie Daniels Band, Don McLean, Doobie Brothers, Dusty Springfield, Metallica, Three Dog Night, John Cougar Mellencamp...etc.
*Pop is the listed genre, because I'm lazy to specifically define every darn song on my playlist. Includes alternative, new rock, teeny bopper etc...
** Please don't be so picky!
Usually I prefer quiet, or I'm watching a movie on the top right quarter corner of my computer screen. *G*

If it isn't:
Rap (they forgot the "C" at the front)
Heavy Metal
Hip-Hop
Country
...I will generally listen to it. But my favorite genres are J-pop, Pop, Dance, ORIGINAL Soundtracks, and Classical. _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

Almost all the music on my computer is in Japanese. I have a bunch of stuff that I never listen to, but I go with Do As Infinity and The Pillows a lot. Yuki Kajiura is also awesome, I have all pretty much all the .hack music, because she did pretty much all of that.
Man, I'm cool. |

Just what I'd say I listen to most lately: Aerosmith, ATB, Captain Jack, Cake, Celine Dion (remixes only), Charly Lownoise, Dune, Enya, Erasure, Floorfilla, Gigi D'Agostino, Groove Coverage, Jan Wayne, Lagoona, Linkin Park, Master Blaster, Moby, No Doubt, N-Trance, Pet Shop Boys, Pure Moods (various tracks from various Pure Moods compilations), Puretone, Robbie Williams, Scooter, Special D., The Cynic Project, Vengaboys. I also listen to various original artists on soundlick regularly.

J-Rock mostly. Big fan of L'arc-en-Ciel, Gackt (I got to see him in concert when I was studying in Tokyo...he's beautiful, even if he is insane), Glay, Luna Sea (who broke up), Duel Jewel, TMR (who's pop, but shh, he's yummy), Zazel, Weiss Kreuz (yep, German name, still a Japanese band), use to like Malice Mizer, but they bother me now. Besides, it's not the same since Gackt went solo.

I'm a BIG fan of See-Saw (the people who did the music for .hack). Yuki is just plain hot. Yanno, I like Do As Infinity...at least their first album. Yay for Japanese music. 10 gigs of my Dell Jukebox is filled with my Japanese and anime-genre music. |

It's too wide to post directly. And as in the other thread, this is just what's on the c-drive. My other drives are for more obscure music that I'd like to help keep obscure.

PS: Apparently I made a post earlier that was my 1337th post. But I missed it. So I'm going to count this post as my 1337th. Woot. _________________
