Im interested to know if anyone plays other RPG's besides HR online. They can be any kind: console, PC, pencil and paper. . whatever.

Right now Im also immersed the world of Star Ocean 2: Til the end of Time.

I'm digging Fable.

And I want Halo 2 to come out right now, but... yeah.

I'm an active participant in a few PbP Dungeons and Dragons games, mostly with my old gaming group in Maryland who thought it'd be nice to revive our campaigns in message board form so that I don't have to miss out.

Other than that, I indulge myself in Neverwinter Nights on occasion, but only when I find really RP-heavy servers. I also have character build vs. character build fights with friends.

I just started playing it about a month ago, and was just now able to get my friends into it, so we haven't really played yet, so I'm setting up our starter campaign.

Ive read a bit about that one. Supposed to be really fun but short with excellent replay value.

I want Fable so bad, but I don't have an Xbox, or any money for that matter.

Yeah. If you go straight through Fable without worrying too much about the side quests (one or two is fine), you can finish with about ten to eleven hours of total gameplay. One of my friends did it in a little over nine, but we were coaching him. So.

But, at the same time, there's a lot of replay value.. like you said. Wootness.

Also, props to Morrowind.

From what I can see, Fable is barely an RPG. It looks pretty adventure-y. I just finished Final Fantasy Tacitcs (for ps) a short while ago, and FF4 before that. I meant to play FF6, but then I got all busy and forgot about it... so yeah. Before that I was playing FFX-2. Yeah. I like FF.

I used to play AD&D several years ago, but then I moved and didn't feel like finding new people to play with. And then they came out with 3rd ed. and I didn't feel like learning new rules, so I'm totally behind. I do have NWN, though.

Neverwinter Nights if fairly close to 3rd edition/d20 rules; a feat every three levels, stat increase every four levels, skill selection (mostly), etc. Neverwinter Nights 2 (release 2006, I think) is supposed to be as adherant to the rules as possible. The 3rd edition is actually 3.5 now, so I don't know. Maybe they mean those rules instead for that one. I like a lot less of the newer 3.5 rules than ones I do like.

I've been trying to get around to showing Valla the ins and outs of D&D, and was almost tempted to rouse up my own PbP to see where it led. The reasons I veto'd that were 1) HR is obviously my game priority, 2) I could only take so many people, which means other people get shut out, 3) Outside of HR, I have scarce free time lately as it is, 4) I don't want to teach anyone else any rules.

Agreed.

As for FFX ... All I can say is I suck at blitzball. Other than that, good game ... Along with most of the other Final Fantasy games.

I think I read somewhere that Wizards of the Coast is going to do a release of the old boxed set, or something like that.

Gold was high-level, I think... right? I can't remember back that far.
