Throughout the history of Haelrahv, we have tried hard to avoid censorship and moderation of player's activities. It's our firm belief that the interests of the majority of players should be represented and traditionally, the player base supports this non-involvement of staff members. However, as the culture of the game evolves, so do the needs and desires of the general populace. With that in mind, we are adopting new policies as staff which we believe represent what the majority of players desire.
Staff members will now monitor the public comm channels for out of character (OOC) transmissions, as well as verbal conflicts of a serious nature. We will strive to disregard minor cases of OOC or short, minor verbal conflicts on the communicator because we do believe that it is important to not overreact to or overadjust for this problem.
Should a staff member feel your comments on the communicator are grossly OOC or that you are taking part in conversation that is grossly vulgar or detrimental to the general peace of the game, that staff member will caution you to cease that activity. Should you continue, or should you become a 'serial offender' so to speak, that staff member is authorized to take further actions such as blocking your ability to use the comm channels, causing shock to your character, damaging your communicator equipment, and other means.
It should be noted that this policy applies equally to the telepathy ability, special comm channels other than private two-person transmissions, and can also be applied to high-traffic areas such as Cloud Court, or to RP events.
Any questions or comments should be directed to the Haelrahv Message Forum or to Trevor at hr-trevor@haelrahv.com. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato
