That's what I was thinking so Maybe might look at having the essense for hand negated if you have a cyber arm... I'm just seeing a cybernetic socket as being a place where cybernetics connect to flesh, not cybernetic to cybernetic..

Ok I think I need to clarify what I meant earlier when I said sockets are where the essence is lost. Yes that is true for game mechanics, but the reason behind that is that you lose the essence from that body part when you get a cybernetic replacement. Essence is like your chi or life energy. When you get a cyber arm your still missing the hand, and thus the hand's essence. It's the same amount whether you get them separately or together, so your not losing more essence by getting them at different times. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

If you've ever played Shadowrun, essence works almost exactly like that. And Morrigan, when can I pick up my hook?

As much as I love Bruce Campbell and all, gonna have to say no on that one for right now. Maybe in the live version. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

If I have two cyber hands, will armor-type gloves protect them, or do I need to buy the coverings? Also, if I have a heavy covering on the hand but I'm trained in light armor, will I see more hindrance? |

Armored gloves will protect them as normal, but buying coverings increases their durability. And covering doesn't run off armor skills, so you will see no extra hindrance.
You should also look into buying the new kickass hook hands. They're cheap and you can use them if you don't want to risk damaging your expensive hands. The only upgrade those can take are armor and give a penalty to coordination, but they're dirt cheap so you don't have to worry about damage. Both Morrigan and Hunter get 100 gold stars for that since I can now repair my good hands using them.

Gloves will help, coverings will help even more. Heavy/light coverings don't actually have a skillcheck, it just describes the protection you get with it. Also, hands and feet only have light armor since heavy armor would impede the articulation too much. _________________ ~Hunter~ |

Couple quick questions:
Do targeting chips stack like the other ones?
Do certain parts require less essence, or are they all the same? |

Yup yup.

Yes, the smaller the part, the less essence required. So eyes, hands and feet cost less than arms and legs. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
