That's right.. your friendly neighborhood Drake is now the Technician Guru. 
To start off, I'll be delving into the realm of droids - improving the existing droid system, and working on making a few new types for you techies (think your air drone is too small? Wait till you see a MAD). Also, I plan to add some new customization options for all droid types.
One more thing.. some new toys are planned for technicians.. but I'll save the details on that for another time

Hey congrats Drake!
MAD? mediumsize.air.drone?
How about a processing unit(built in stove and or crucible) that helps ya refine stuff like boiling arrows and melts down minables to ingots.
Light attachment that to light up the room at night or when ya in a dark place.
Some real defense systems like when someone pokes at the drone, it could actually stunned them with a taser or something. heh.

Hehe, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you.
I've been picking apart the droids and seeing how they really work, and it's taken some time (damn you Zoz). Right now I'm working on some more personality chips for existing droids, so hopefully I'll get those out (and I hate this word, but) soon.
You'll see what a MAD is when I get 'em out there.. speculate in the meantime. 
I haven't set a meeting time yet, but within the next 2-3 weeks I'd like to have one. Expect it to be a Wednesday or Saturday meeting though, probably around 8pm EST.

Okies stupid me. just found out what MAD (massive armored droid) stood for. And I want one!!!!!!!!!
Will we be able to have both our mad and air drone out at the same time?

Kewl, can you also make it so that a player could actually get hurt if they try to provoke our drones? Like a long stun or put them in a stasis field so that they can't move or say anything for like 2 minutes. Or maybe incase them in some ice for a bit. I'm sick and tired of people trying to do bad stuff to my drone.

It's possible, but I doubt it. One out is enough for now, I think.

Drake, I heard through the techie grapevine that we cannot own both kinds of droids. I understood we couldnt have them both out at the same time, but do we have to choose which we want to own and then not able to buy the other? I am in no way complaining, so sorry if it sounds like I am. Can you shed some light onto this subject please, as I am getting close to sixth and am looking forward to a droid. I just wanna make sure I dont screw myself.

As of this moment in time, a technician can only own one droid. Very soon (within the next couple of days) I will have an NPC or something that will buy your old droid and junk it so you can purchase a different droid.
Then, I will be adding the ability to own more than one droid at a time. To go along with this, there will be the creation of a droid storage center. Essentially, you will be able to bring your droid to the center, pay a storage fee, and it will be transported to a containment area. Then, you will be able to access one of your other droids. You will NOT be able to have more than one droid out at a time; you will have to put one away before you can bring another one out.
I haven't decided yet whether or not to make you techies bring your droid to the storage center, or to allow you to use "COMMAND <droid> TO LEAVE" and have it go to the center on its own.. either way, you'll have to pay the storage fee. "COMMAND <droid> TO RETURN" WILL be disabled at this point, however.
So, I guess it's just a matter of which one you just HAVE to have right now.
