| From what I noticed (as an Artisan), there are enough non-combat exp giving things to not make you have to train in combat. |

i myself hate hunting, so i basically forage or make potions... (until trevor had to go and put something i want in a hunting area...*grunts*) anyway, foraging still teaches me at my level (50+)and once you start learning spellsongs and using them, they teach you too.

I'm a fellow performer that has chosen to go the path of non-combat. As I've stated before somewhere: I could not fight my way out of a paper bag. I'd say when you're young do foraging and alchemy. It's about the best thing you can do at the beginning of your life that gives you the most $ and exp income.
But, later on, there are many other things you can enjoy such as photography, oyster diving, and my personal favorite: fishing.
I've tried fishing with my newer characters and realized that though it works for Haidee, it just doesn't fill up newer minds fast enough for their drain out. Plus when you start out you really can't catch anything very well. But, I promise if you put your money into a good rod, use Sailor's Tavern Shanty, and put as much skill points as you can into fishing, you can find a great way to gain exp and earn a good amount of cash as well. (Plus, not only do you get exp from the fishing itself, you also gain it when you clean the fish later!)

It's true. I put her in a paper bag once and she got stuck for 3 hours.
