| I'm trying to amass a choking hoard of small silver asapi-shaped pins (+1 dancing). I've got a +1 poisons ring to trade for at least one, but I find treasure about as often as I tell a funny joke, so the others would probably be paid in negotiable cash value or something comparable (like one of my dozens of Gemrem books). |

What exactly does a + to occult lore help....? You can't learn abilities off added points can you..?

The number of points in the Occult Lore skill determines the number of psionic abilities you can learn. So, the answer is yes!

I thought Occult Lore skill affected your Focus pool, too. Along with Spell Research. Maybe it was meant to be how many abilities/spells you have, though. I've never been into that scene, so I wouldn't know for sure either way.

Focus pool is just int, ment, and char (and they affect it equally).

Actually the weight of intellect, mentality and charisma in calculating your focus pool size varies by profession. For mages, intellect counts most. For psionics, mentality. For Guardians, charisma. For anyone else, they are used equally.
