I know its been discussed before but I think that since I see Trackers as hunters, they should be able to know something about drawing poisons from critters and using it for their weapons when hunting. Like maybe being able to skin those critters swimming with the berami off the shores of Echak. Maybe have something like this:

skin dzu
With the precision of a surgeon you skillfully extract the venomous sac of the......

or like how you can skin a second time to retrieve meat. maybe skin a sshliss a second time but instead of getting the meat....

skin sshliss
Holding the sshliss just right, you extract the venom from sshliss.

And if ya dont want to make poison with it, you could sell it to a NPC in the hospital or give/sell to a medic to make their own antidotes from it.

oops and also:

When trying to extract the poison from the critter or when making the antidote from it, they could run the chance of being poisoned themselves.

An interesting idea.

I'd like to see you have to hold a vial of some sort and stick the fangs into it to pump the poison into the vial as in RL. So you could possibly get a full vial of 50 units of poison. Maybe have to have Handle Animal skills?

I've considered dzukru poison being obtainable already, and I think I figured it would be a good idea assuming that the poison is a small dose and goes inert after a preset period of time; otherwise, Agents are made obsolete by creature poison that doesn't take anywhere near as long to acquire (nor skill points needed) as it does to gather the components and create it alchemically.

You can always require X amount of skill in poisons in order to properly refine it so it's usable.

Trackers with ample skill can harvest a single-use poison gland from dzukru. The toxicity of the gland in its organic form lasts a limited time.

I prefer this rather than having to get skill points, of course. Definitely don't want to take away from Agents or others that train and learn to use poison.

Also, what WILL handle animal do, since it's part of the four that trackers will be 'better' at? I think it's the only skill I don't really know what it does, and it'd be nice if someone could give us just a little hint.

Post edit: I didn't do anything with sshliss, since they aren't mine.

Taming wild animals, training them to do things.

Can some of us get even more points for already doing that?

I thought all but eolai were already wild animals. Though I still can't get Xice trained correctly. Heh

I'd really like to see something happen with sshliss and other poisonous critters. (Hint hint) On the similar lines as the poison glands.

And how rude of me..... Thank you Mickey!!!

I like that idea, and so not to leave out the Agents, we could sell/trade/give the poison glands from dzukru or vials of venom from the sshliss(nice idea. I forgot about that, Miss Sshliss Wrangler) to them and they can use it to make a poison potion with limited doses.

The gland already works like a regular poison potion; just apply it to whatever it is you're poisoning.

Speaking of poison.. Is the skill acquired after a certain level? It's one my recommended skills, but i can't find where to train it. I even asked <agent leader> about poison. He just told me he didn't know anything about that.
