Hey there Dzynna. Welcome to our lil tracker family.
If anyone has any good ideas or thoughts that might turn into an ability or bonus of some kind for trackers, please post it. I feel like trackers are getting the short end of the stick, and maybe some positive suggestions or feedback would help Trevor and the staff realize how much we want something to happen for our profession.

You get a professional stance, which only Trackers and Guardians can boast. Sure, you don't have nifty Meditations (or their cousins, Techniques), but a stance is still a stance. Plus, your bonus to ecology affords you the chance to get more money more early on, especially since components -- at the moment -- are the best thing since sliced bread, as far as the economy is concerned.
You may or may not be getting the short end in the test phase as far as abilities go, but I doubt this will be the case in Live. A lot of people seem to think that what we have now is THE game.

Actually, Troopers and Mercs also get a stance too.

Granted Trackers don't have a lot of abilities at the moment but I think their skill bonuses make up for part of it. Not only do Trackers have the ecology bonus, they have the potential to be excellent fisherman and craftsman, as well as being able to climb and swim to those tough spots. They can skin well, repair things and be stealthy, pretty much they can do well at the majority of activities currently released.
I'm not trying to say that new things shouldn't be developed for the profession and I know it can be frustrating watching others get new things but like William said this is just a test phase.

Throw em out there and we'll be happy to take a look. _________________ God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Just to dispute a bit, Trackers have the highest money making potential in foraging, mining, fishing, woodworking, and skinning, better than any other profession.
Trackers forage more units per attempt. Trackers don't trample much. They can see hidden items in rural areas sometimes. They have caches.
When it gets to the point of trainable pets/animals Trackers will excel, as well as with taming wild species.
I know this stuff doesn't scream *original Tracker-only abilities!* to you, but they do have a LOT going for them nonetheless. _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

I've always felt it's much better to come up with suggestions for professional skills, whether your own or just something you'd like to see for other professions.
As far as trackers go, I do like the trap suggestion, though I'd rather see those as being a way to stun critters with tripwires, or blowdarts (poisoned of course) as well as setting traps to catch wild critters. Craftsmanship would come into play with the making of the dartguns I'd think, of which I don't have any skill at the moment, so I'll be wanting to buy them from whomever has the skills if that is something that ever comes into play. I foresee that would be more in live as compared to the test game, if it does happen.

Heck yeah. I had no idea how easy it was to make money with a Tracker when I started playing this game, but in comparison to any friends or family of mine who have come to play and created non-Tracker characters, my bank account is huge...or would be, if I didn't keep outfitting people . I'm glad that's what I chose, for more reasons than the money. _________________
