I was going to post a completely different picture... but... it was kind of mean. So I'm saving it up for another day (like, tomorrow).

I wouldn't call it my life's goal. But this isn't really the proper thread to go into that sort of stuff. It's ok to derail modern threads, since they're really just repeating older threads, but we're just ruining this ancient thread. Sigh.

Hey, mayba Mona Lisa is into that sort of thing. Don't be judgmental. I bet there are a few sites out there dedicated specifically to that interest.
(I jest, of course. Well except for the sites part.) _________________ "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." -- Plato

if your worried about having nothing for yourself try being an agent and having some asshole reallocate just to get the poisons you have tried hard to keep in the agent proffesion then reallocate back to thier proffesion with your skill.
Techs will always still be the only one to be able to work on these things Im sure, and look at it as a very large source of income because Im sure they wont be going cheap.
I was told that the only time something is proffesion only is if it makes sense that no one else can do it. Like making poisons, it doesnt make sense that no one else can put the ingredients together, which is why agents need to be careful with the tomes, because only agents know the recipes
So I suppose if you want droids to be tech only just dont sell them and make it hard for anyone else who might sell them, otherwise just be happy somone cant steal your ability to make and repair them.
Course if this topic was already addressed, sorry I havent read all the posts. _________________ Mellie Amresh says, "Send someone with a bigger dick."

Minimum level 5?
I hope thats changed I would think building a droid like the ones you are talking about would take an insane amount of skill, I can understand tinkering with comms and peicing together inferior droids with already made parts at low levels but making something as advanced as this, should take alot of work to achieve.
I would also love to see droids possibly turning on thier owners. So that they have to be recalled and reprogramed by the creator, of course this would cause problems for those who own one that was created by somone who is no longer around. Might have to get a whole new droid created for you, which would keep the populas of droids down some.
just my opinions

You can buy an air drone at level 6. It comes with the cheapy stuff already installed on it.
You can get a MAD at level 15 (Kit got it at 6 though). He's level 14 now and was just able to install anything other then the stuff capable to make the thing move...and only then because Thorne has two items that gives you boosts and before the bonuses were cut so drastically by Drake.
::sniff::
But yeah, Droids ARE hard to do. I can't install a GPS yet...and I suppose you really can't call it cheating for Kit to have had a droid at 6th when he should have got it at 15th. I mean, if I had gotten the drone, I would have been able to have the bonuses for 8 levels!!
^.^ Oh well. I love the Beast. And Kit loves the Beast too. |

I'm very upset about the tweak down of the bonuses especially not being able to stack em. I was able to see a third repair tool to use in repairing cyberparts but i couldnt even repair the part using the new tool.
