Food I look most forward to: turkey, because I make the other things throughout the year.
Food we had this year (I cooked, and I am a damn good cook. My husband kept our toddler out from underfoot) for my family and a few people from my husband's work who had nowhere to spend this holiday.
devilled eggs
spiced apple rings
steamed turkey
pineapple-glazed ham
roast garlic mashed potatoes
candied mallow yams
cranberry sauce
stuffing
corn-on-the-cob
green beans w/bacon
stuffed acorn squash
turkey gravy
pumpkin pie w/whipped cream
bread pudding
homemade fudge _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

You didn't make pecan pie? Uber lame-age.

PS: My grandmother also makes really awesome pecan pie. I can never get mine to taste as good, though. Damn her decades of experience, straight to hell! _________________

Bite me
I don't like premade pies, and the store only had 2 small bags of pecans left when I went. Just enough for fudge, not enough for pie.
Come live in small-town Japan and see how easy it is to get stuff. As it was, I had to have my yams shipped privately to me because the military store only carried canned and the japanese story didn't carry any. _________________ Counselor Faith Tempest

Is anyone planning on shopping tomorrow? I'm tempted to wake up way early to see if I could score some cheap new hardware... but then again, I'm also lazy and broke. |

If my bank is open so I can cash my paychecks... maybe. _________________ A bright-eyed Thekko Ku Kalla dressed in a dapper sailor suit takes to flight and careers through the air toward the Modan Kucho and slams into him!
