is it me or is $700k not that big a deal when you see the other budget costs, too.

Very true. I was probably a little heavy-handed where my comments about the official "report" are concerned, but I'm having a really difficult time understanding what sort of incurred 'damages' could possibly have been worth $700k (not to mention, gone unnoticed until the report breaks... five years later), unless they meant the cost of upgrading x number of Pentagon/NASA computers to close up the security loophole.
