Just a thought- How about items like glaze or dermagel/dermaplaz being able to see how much is there.
Look in glaze
The glaze appears to be full
The glaze appears to be more than half full.
The glaze appears to be half full
The glaze appears to be less than half full.
The glaze appears to be empty.
