no clue if this new or going to last or whatever, but as of me posting this at this moment, mages have a new thing to IMBUE.

there are lava rocks you can try to GATHER at the volcanic on Echak (at the cone thing). you can IMBUE them into flamestones. i have 0 clue if they are usable for anything or if they do anything or if they'll still exist (as they were a component in the final spell during the alteri kidnapping event), but hey, information.

there ya go.

I hope it's a new thing under developement because in the Aelon Tundra, Temple, there's a recipe in the book there that has flamestones as one of the ingredients. I'm curious as to if all this is leading onto something REALLY cool that mages can do. The imbueing of the lava rocks is sweet.

Code:
[Aelon Tundra, Temple]
The temple appears to be a small one-room affair with stained glass windows letting a meager amount of light into the room. Strange seals guard the center of each window and radiate an unknown energy. Stone columns support the structure of the marble building, starting from the tiled floor to the engraved ceiling. A thin layer of ice coats every surface of the room, making movement treacherous at best. In the very center of the room is a raised dais with a large softly glowing crystal of ice resting on it.

You also see the scorched remains of a large book.
You notice an exit leading out.
read book
It reads:

Liquid Flames

Ingredients:

20 flame stones, crushed to a fine powder.
Twenty-four measures of sea water bathed in darkness for over one weeks time.
A lock of hair from a fire Magi.

1. Put the crushed flame stones in a cold cauldron.
2. Add the sea water.
3. Light the wood under the cauldron, and wait patiently for an orange-colored smoke.
4. Sprinkle the lock of hair, and stand back.

if i remember correctly, that was part of some event forever ago involving the eolai in that cave nearby and a note or parchment in some room or another in there (about a trial), but yes it would be cool for that to have a use again. Very Happy

Unfortunately, for now the flamestones are just RP tools. Sorry guys.
