Any more of these tid-bits enroute Morrigan? :] I'm interested what you've come up with in general.
Also, I have some specific questions about the children being brought up by the whole community. Given that knowedge, what do we make of the Alteri words for mother and father? Are they just general words of respect to elders in their clan, or do Alteri create a special bond with thier DNA donors even though they're not exclusively brought up by them?

First, I apologize for the late reply. Traditionally, "Mother" and "Father" would more often be used as a term of respect for an elder in the community, like Veicsea. Although, as their culture has grown and been influenced by others (specifically Humans), these words could be used by the Alteri to denote biological ties. In early interactions with Humans, I'm sure that the Alteri would have referred to their DNA donors as Mother and Father just to avoid confusion 
As for future questions and tidbits, I'm am going to defer these to GM Xaiseri, my cohort in crime on the history staff and master of all things Alteri.

yes a pod farm would act as some kind of explanation as to why some other races are walking around with alteri kids calling them mom and pop 
and dreg is really looking forward to helping herself to a pod or two as she would put
