I'm so glad to see you back into character portrait creation. Nice work, as usual. Smile

Haha, oh I have the program, but he has to dig up the key generator he made for it... it's not like he sells copies of that program to people all the time. Wink

The first character portrait pak is available at:
http://downloads.haelrahv.com/Wizard%20Paks/

This PAK contains the following images:

Haelrahv Logo
Acosae Eshai portrait
Hannah Channing portrait
Layne Sereshira portrait
Nelle Doran-Dgnara portrait
Orodreth Velldune portrait
Rikiar Vandalrius portrait
Roselie Magelyn portrait
Shareen Soshade portrait
Stilldawn Kagali portrait

If you'd like to submit your portrait for inclusion in a future PAK, please
email your photo to hr-trevor@haelrahv.com. Images will display in the Wizard
front end for appropriate characters when they are LOOKed at, if the picture
window is open.

To use an art pak, simply unzip the file into your Wizard folder (usually
C:\Program Files\SIMU\).

Just into the Simu folder or into Wizard folder or the particular front end? I can't seem to get it to work. I get the Haelrahv logo and that's it.

Just into the Simu folder where wizard.exe is. I located a problem that would have prevented you from seeing your portrait and fixed it.

The new portrait paks work great.
1) Is there a way to resize that picture window inthe client?
2) Why don't you give me the image size and I can email you new version that are cropped and scaled correctly so that they look better.

If you uncheck the "auto-size to picture" option by right-clicking the picture window, you can freely stretch out the image or shrink it - of course distorting the image some, accordingly.

I actually took the smaller images directly from your gallery (the thumbnails) and did not resize them at all. The only modification I did was to copy the image and re-paste it in an image viewer and resave the file. This didn't seem to change the image at all, visually, to me. I did this because for some reason however you've saved those pictures they don't want to work properly in the wizard without this extra step.

Yeah, I should give you different versions... For one, resaving a JPEG at mid-low resolution just double artifacts it, and secondly, some of the pics have extra fluff around the main characters that isnt needed in a small frame portrait like the picture window.

I DEFINITELY dont want this to be a task for you.

If you can give me specs, I can rescale and crop the images and send you uncompressed BMP files... which you can paste into your image viewer to save. I'm thinking 320x240 max?

Sounds good. If anyone finds that size to be too large, they can shrink down the image window at a loss of quality. And thanks, I'd prefer to both save some work for myself and have the images look as most as what you were trying to accomplish in creating them as possible.

GM Morrigan Blackfury has been rendered in pixelous glory. You can view her new portrait in my gallery at:

http://www.orodreth.hostrocket.com/gallery/

I have several more portraits in progress. If you'd like to see your own glorious self, send your character description to my email address which is velldune at yahoo zot com. Do be aware that with the volume of requests, there is a line of people ahead of you. But if you've waited this long, waiting a bit longer should be no problem.

All portraits will be sized and packed off to Trevor for the image pack which displays portraits in the picture window in the Wizard front-end.
