So, I'm in the market for a new keyboard. My current one's keys are starting to stick or simply not function at all. The non-functioning ones are rarely used, but it's still inconvenient when I do need to use them.

Anyway. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm fairly partial to the Microsoft Natural line, but I'd be willing to make a transition.

Get a new keyboard. There's my suggestion. Preferably a free one. Those are always the best.

That's what I'm here for. Ack. Your statement made me think of Ben Stein in those clear eyes commercials.

Wow. Shocked

get a cheapo trust keyboard like i did .... a trust keyboard can store at least 4lbs of cigarette ash in between the keys befor the keys start to stick and with most of their keyboards coming in a wonderful grey color you dont notice the ash till its overspills the keys Twisted Evil

Get a multimedia keyboard of some kind if you listen to MP3's often. Having the pause/mute functions are great when something comes up like a phone call. If you listen to your music and play movies in windows media player, then you have singular control of the playback for both media types.

But all in all keyboards are created equal. The main thing is to get one you're comfortable with. If you are not used to using a natural keyboard, I wouldn't really recommend switching to one unless you're a glutton for punishment. Get one with a key arrangement that suits your familiarity so you don't curse yourself for your choice every time you slip and hit a wrong key because something is in the wrong place.

Personally, I don't have much problems switching back and forth between a standard keyboard and a natural/split keyboard. Sure, there're a few minutes of adjustment, but it's pretty much easy sailing.

Anyway, I hadn't thought of a multimedia keyboard. I'll have to look into that. Thanks, Trevor.
