Just wondered if anyone would mind if I used any terms like decker, rigger, or null luck <g>.
Or better yet, what might be some terminology/slang/lingo used in the game? _________________ Dragoonseal |

None of those are in-game right now, but use em if you like <g>. My experience with Shadowrun is limited (I assume you're pulling those from SR? I know Decker was a SR term.)

We had some profanities drawn up in the races. Lemme see...
Swear words in three languages Darjuan--Fvom Jaddan-- Chuhrava Alteri--Hissoi
So if you're really, really mad at a Jaddan, just tell him to Chuhrava off. It'll get the point across. <giggle>

They're all interjections. According to School House Rock they show excitement or emotion and are generally set off from a sentence by an exclamation point or by a comma when the feeling's not so strong.

Sadly, they're not even interjections in that context. If you tell someone to Chuhrava off, that's a verb since it's a command in that case
And yes, Trevor is right, don't get me started on grammar, either. Myst is no better, though. We have "lively debates" on the extra comma in the series. We are, indeed, sad.

There's nothing sad about having good grammar. What you two should do...is kidnap those people that will eventually show up here that have no idea what a period is for! Teach 'em a thing or two!
Err...more on topic. What exactly does Chuhrava mean? ;D _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

Like most profanities, it doesn't have a real literal translation. It's like damn. Damn has no real meaning (unless you're talking about to condemn, which we rarely use it for anymore). Players can invent more profanities if they want. The more profanities we have IG, the less likely someone will be offended if you use them. Make sense?

It does. A lot actually. If there's some type of informal race dictionary released, I'm sure I could twist some of the words to have a slang usage... _________________ Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! |

I know Mexican Spanish is like that where every word seems to have dual meaning. Spanish in other countries isn't usually so filled with double-meanings. It might be fun to have that kind of fun with the languages in Haelrahv. We have some initial words and will probably release a dictionary but the more you invent words and they slip into usage, the more fun we can have with these languages.
We do want the languages to be "living languages" so they can be added to and adapted as we use them. Making double-meaning words will be great fun and a great help.

<Sniffs out the grammar discussions.>
Is this where we've moved the discourse on the serial comma?
