You can't fit anything else in there.

You carefully look over a soaking vat.
It looks like the vat will hold about 218 pounds of weight.
The vat currently holds about 5 pounds of items.
You think a soaking vat is basically worthless.

I'm not sure what was going on, but when I checked into the vat after you bugged it, there were 20 pelts inside.

yeah, i had 32 pelts i planned to soak, but only 20 fit (even though there was over 200 pounds of space free).

Ah, wait. I know now. Although there's a weight limit on the vat like any other container (I'm not sure why it's so large), there's an actual item limit.
