I know others have suggested this before but I can't find previous posts and I'm too lazy to search too hard.
Could sense be modified with the ability to sense ones self for the purpose of showing what magical influences the character is under at the moment. Whether it's from items, potions, spells etc.

Even without sensing one's self...typing HEALTH and finding out what's on you. You'd feel different with buffs on you anyhow.

Health shows what's on you now??
My main gripe with this is potions. Drinking repeated doses but wasting them because I'm already under the effects of it.

No, that was my suggestion, instead of making it some psionic ability, making it a natural one anyone'd have.
