Ritual Magic

Now although this suggestion is for magic, it can, after modification works for other profession too.

However, here is what i have thought for mages. Ritual Magic.
Basically the idea is to have mages gather together in a form of Coorporative Magic Casting. This means there must be at least 3 or more mages (true mages) who has the required spell to invoke them together.

Some requirements includes:

1. Having the spell incantation known to the mages involves. Which means they have it in their spellbook and have memorized it.

2. The mages involved must have sufficient focus to cast the ritual spell.

3. The mages should meet all the requirements for the ritual. Example must be level 50 and above, or have 100 intellect etc.

4. It takes a long time to complete the ritual itself, making it impractical to use for hunting purposes.

Ritual Failure could be due to:

1. A miscast by any one mages involved will disrupt the whole procedure.

2. One of the mages releases the incantation and the ritual is disrupted.

3. One of the mages get struck/stunned or otherwise incapitated in such a way he/she no longer can concentrate on the ritual.

4. Disconnection from one of the mage.

Some idea for magic ritual could be:

1. Elemental Fury
When the ritual is completed all mages involves gain a higher knowledge of a particular element. Which translates into greater skill bonus, or enhanced damage when using that elemental spell etc for a period of time.

2. City Shield
A powerful ritual that for a period of time, covers the entire city with an aura similar to the Armor aura spell, protecting the city from aeriel bombardments or artillary strikes.

3. Mana Fountain
The ritual will cause the area to pulse with magical enegies. Recharging everyone's focus greatly while the ritual is in effect.

I think it would be cool to have some spells/abilities that use the concerted work on many mages, and I hope to add some such abilities at some point. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
